Job summary

Babcock at Rosyth is seeking a Capability Manager to lead and develop the organisation's nuclear competence and capability framework, ensuring readiness and regulatory compliance for safety-critical programmes.

You'll work with senior leaders, engineering teams and regulators to shape long-term capability planning, support LC12 requirements, and ensure the right people with the right skills are authorised for safety-critical activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing competence, capability, authorisation and SQEP frameworks in nuclear or safety-critical environments.
• Knowledge of nuclear regulatory requirements and competence management principles.
• Experience supporting regulatory inspections and LC12-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the nuclear competence and capability framework.
• Lead a small team and coordinate with LC10, LC12, and LC36 responsibilities.
• Support regulatory inspections, audits and assurance activities.
• Advise senior leaders on capability, succession planning and competence risks.
• Collaborate with engineering, nuclear safety, HR and workforce planning teams.
