Job summary

Babcock in Rosyth is seeking a Capability Manager to lead the organisation's nuclear competence and capability framework, ensuring workforce readiness and regulatory compliance for safety-critical programmes. The role is based at Rosyth with hybrid working and close collaboration with senior leaders, engineering teams and regulators to shape long-term capability planning.

Qualifications

• Experience managing competence, capability and SQEP frameworks in nuclear or safety-critical environments.
• Knowledge of nuclear regulatory requirements and compliance principles.
• Experience supporting regulatory inspections, audits and compliance activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the organisation's nuclear competence and capability framework.
• Ensure workforce readiness and regulatory compliance for safety-critical programmes.
• Influence senior stakeholders and manage safety-critical workforce capability.
• Collaborate with engineering, nuclear safety, HR and workforce planning teams.
• Identify and authorise suitably qualified personnel for safety-critical activities.
