Job summary

Babcock International in Rosyth, Scotland, is seeking a Capability Manager to lead and develop the organisation's nuclear competence and capability framework, ensuring workforce readiness and regulatory compliance for safety-critical programmes.

You will work with senior leaders and regulators to shape long-term capability planning, manage safety-critical risks, and support LC12 compliance. The role is hybrid, based at Rosyth with Monday–Thursday hours, and requires UK SC clearance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing competence, capability, authorisation and SQEP frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the nuclear competence and capability framework.
• Manage a small team and integrate with wider LC 10, 12, and 36 responsibilities.
• Support regulatory inspections, audits and assurance activities.
• Advise senior leaders on capability, succession planning and competence risks.
• Collaborate with engineering, nuclear safety, HR and workforce planning to maintain readiness.
