Job summary

Urenco, Capenhurst site, is seeking a C&I Engineer to deliver discipline-specific electrical and control & instrumentation engineering within the UUK Engineering & Projects department, ensuring safe, cost-effective design and handover across the project cycle.

You will manage design deliverables, contractor specifications, CPD evidence for professional registration, and contribute to a heavily regulated nuclear environment while pursuing chartered status and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant discipline-specific Engineering.
• Associate member of a relevant engineering institute and actively pursuing chartered status.
• Good understanding of Engineering design processes in a heavily regulated industry.
• Completion of Engineering-based graduate scheme (3-4 years) or equivalent, followed by demonstrable experience within a heavily regulated industry

Responsibilities

• Producing high quality engineering deliverables to cost and schedule which comply with UUK design procedures, relevant codes and standards, and nuclear site license requirements
• Produce appropriate specifications for contractors and manage their delivery
• Actively manage and record CPD from on-the-job training and any external learning, in order to provide robust evidence for professional registration/membership and SQEP.
• Understanding and considering the wider implications of a change, outside of your own discipline.
• Undertaking technical investigations as required
• Undertaking commissioning activities when required and authorized to do so
