Job summary

Urenco, a global leader in low carbon energy, seeks a C&I Engineer for Capenhurst. You will deliver discipline-specific engineering services across the project/engineering cycle, from requirements capture to handover, ensuring safety and cost-effective design.

You’ll work within the UUK Engineering & Projects team, pursue chartered status, maintain CPD, and contribute to commissioning, testing and contractor deliverables in a heavily regulated nuclear environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant discipline-specific Engineering.
• Associate member of a relevant engineering institute and actively pursuing chartered status.
• Good understanding of Engineering design processes in a heavily regulated industry.
• Completion of Engineering-based graduate scheme (3-4 years) or equivalent, followed by demonstrable experience within a heavily regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Producing high quality engineering deliverables to cost and schedule which comply with design procedures and standards.
• Produce specifications for contractors and manage their delivery.
• Actively manage and record CPD for professional registration and SQEP.
• Understand wider implications of changes outside your discipline.
• Undertake technical investigations as required.
• Undertake commissioning activities when required.
