Job summary

Omega in Buckingham seeks an experienced NPI Process Engineer to develop robust manufacturing processes for new product introductions. You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive process development, continuous improvement, and successful production handover.

The role emphasizes DFMEA/PFMEA, Control Plans, and SAP-driven BOM/routing support, with a focus on cost-efficient, high-quality launches and proactive problem-solving across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years' experience in an assembly manufacturing or manufacturing engineering environment.
Proven track record of delivering manufacturing process improvements within assembly operations.
Experience supporting NPI and product launch activities.
Knowledge of PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, and manufacturing process development.
Six Sigma experience preferred, with Black Belt qualification advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

Develop and improve manufacturing processes to achieve high quality, cost efficiency, and delivery performance (QCD).
Review and optimise manufacturing methods, tooling, and materials to support cost reduction initiatives.
Lead continuous improvement activities across manufacturing operations.
Create, maintain PFMEAs and Control Plans; support NPI manufacturing processes.
Lead pre-series and prototype builds and provide manufacturing support through product launch.
