Job summary

Omega in Buckingham is seeking an experienced NPI Process Engineer to join its Launch & SVO team. You will develop robust manufacturing processes for new product introductions, delivering high quality, cost-efficient production handover and closure.

Key qualifications include a minimum of 5 years in assembly manufacturing, PFMEA/DFMEA, Control Plans, and a proactive problem-solving approach; Six Sigma is advantageous. Automotive or related sector experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in assembly manufacturing or manufacturing engineering.
• Proven track record of manufacturing process improvements in assembly operations.
• Experience supporting NPI and product launches.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans and process development.
• Six Sigma experience preferred; Black Belt advantageous but not required.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive approach; clear communication and leadership.
• Experience in fast-paced automotive or related sectors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes to achieve high quality, cost efficiency and delivery performance.
• Review and optimise methods, tooling and materials to support cost reduction.
• Lead continuous improvement activities across manufacturing operations.
• Support quality investigations and implement robust root cause corrective actions.
• Create and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, and other process documentation.
• Support NPI by integrating BOMs, routing structures and SAP requirements.
• Drive DFMA activities and manufacturing risk assessments during product development.
• Provide manufacturing support through launch and post-launch phases.
