Job summary

Spectrum Control is seeking an experienced New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to transfer new electronic products from concept to production ramp-up. You will blend electronic engineering with manufacturing know-how, working across design, process, test, quality, and supply chain to ensure robust, manufacturable, and testable products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in electronic product development, NPI, manufacturing engineering, or product engineering in high-reliability or safety-critical contexts.
• Experience transferring electronic products from concept through qualification, production release, and ramp-up.
• Strong background in electronic manufacturing, including process development, assembly, inspection, production test, and documentation.
• Knowledge of schematics, layouts, components, and bills of materials; design for manufacturability and test.

Responsibilities

• Support NPI activities from concept through production ramp-up.
• Represent manufacturing in product development to ensure manufacturability and testability.
• Support electronic engineering activities including requirements capture, design reviews, and validation.
• Lead manufacturing design reviews and production-readiness reviews.
• Develop manufacturing approaches including process flow, tooling, equipment, and inspection.
• Plan prototype, pilot, and pre-production builds and resolve issues via root cause analysis.
• Prepare and release manufacturing documents including BOMs, drawings, work instructions, and process specs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ready components and processes for production.
• Support design changes and maintain configuration control of documents.
• Handover to production and support early manufacturing until quality, yield, and stability are achieved.
