Job summary

Spectrum Control in the UK is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - NPI to lead the end-to-end manufacturing engineering for new products, guiding them from design engagement through to ramp-up and stable production. You will own processes, tooling and documentation, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver safe, quality and cost-effective manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing, Electronics, Production or related discipline.
• Experience in hybrid microelectronics, advanced electronic assembly, semiconductor, aerospace, defence or high‑reliability environments desirable.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ERP/MRP systems and controlled engineering documentation desirable.
• Project Management, Lean or Six Sigma qualification desirable.
• Strong communication and leadership, data‑driven planning and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own NPI and industrialisation programmes end-to-end.
• Lead design for manufacture reviews and translate requirements into manufacturing solutions.
• Plan build readiness reviews, prototype and pilot builds, production trials.
• Define process flows, routings, tooling and training requirements.
• Maintain governance with dashboards and RAID logs.

Education
