Job summary

Nottingham Winter Wonderland by Mellors Group is seeking enthusiastic Team Members for the 2026 season. You will help create a safe, welcoming guest experience across front of house, bars, food delivery and general event operations.

Shifts vary by area; you’ll work with a large team, greeting guests, answering questions, keeping areas clean and well-presented, and supporting health and safety procedures. Weekend, evening and bank holiday availability is required; outdoor work in a busy seasonal

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, hospitality, events or similar environments.
• Desirable but not essential: bar or hospitality experience for roles involving alcohol service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor seasonal setting.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Nottingham’s Winter Wonderland is back for 2026, bringing festive fun, entertainment, food, drink and unforgettable experiences to the heart of the city.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly people to join our Winter Wonderland Team and help bring the event to life.

As a Winter Wonderland Team Member, you’ll play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming and memorable experience for every guest. Working as part of a large event team, your role may include working across front of house, customer service, bars, guest areas, cleaning and general event operations, depending on the needs of the event.

No two shifts will necessarily be the same. You’ll work alongside colleagues across the site to keep the event running smoothly, maintain high standards and ensure our guests have a fantastic time from the moment they arrive until they leave.

Principal Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests with a friendly, positive and professional attitude
• Providing excellent customer service throughout the event
• Assisting guests with questions, directions, information and general enquiries
• Supporting the smooth operation of bars, food delivery and drink areas and other guest facilities
• Serving drinks and other products safely, efficiently and professionally where required
• Replenishing stock and maintaining clean, organised and well-presented service areas
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the event site, including guest and staff areas
• Responding promptly to spillages, cleaning requirements and other operational issues
• Supporting queues and managing guest flow where required
• Helping to maintain a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for all guests
• Following all Health & Safety, safeguarding, licensing and operational procedures
• Reporting any incidents, hazards, maintenance issues or guest concerns to the appropriate team member
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across all areas of the event
• Supporting the wider event team with general operational duties as required
• Representing Nottingham Winter Wonderland and Mellors Group in a friendly and professional manner at all times
• Ensuring the event site remains clean, safe and ready for guests throughout every shift

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to remain calm and professional in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working as part of a large team
• Flexible and willing to work across different areas of the event
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, events, retail or similar environments is desirable but not essential
• Previous bar or hospitality experience is desirable for roles involving alcohol service
• A strong awareness of Health & Safety and the importance of maintaining a safe environment
• Willingness to work outdoors and in a busy seasonal event environment

Work Schedule

• Variable hours depending on operational requirements
• Flexible availability required throughout the event period
• Weekend, evening and bank holiday availability will be required
• Shifts may vary depending on the area of the event you are working in
• Team members may be required to work across different areas of the event during their employment
