Job summary

The Welsh Refugee Council in North Wales is seeking an Education and Employability Coordinator to establish a consistent Council presence across the region, working closely with Move On and Widening of Dispersal services and local partners.

The role will identify refugee communities, provide information and guidance on progression into education, training and employment, and design workshops with employers, colleges and training providers to unlock opportunities across North Wales.

Qualifications

• Strong communicator with stakeholders and partners.
• Well-organised with clear schedules and calendars.
• Comfortable with databases, computers and IT systems.
• Approachable and patient with clients.
• Interested in academia and adopting new work-based approaches.

Responsibilities

• Outreach and engagement with refugee and sanctuary-seeking communities across North Wales.
• Education and employability support, guidance and progression routes.
• Stakeholder engagement and workshop delivery with employers, colleges and training providers.
• Monitoring, reporting and administration of project data and outcomes.
