Job summary

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council seeks two Senior Employment Specialists to lead frontline delivery of the Connect to Work programme. You will manage a team of Employment Specialists while maintaining your own participant caseload and delivering high-quality supported employment interventions.

Experience with SEQF/IPS, disability employment, and partnership work is essential. Welsh language ability or willingness to learn Welsh is required. DBS enhanced clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with disabled people, health conditions, or significant barriers to employment.
• Experience supervising or line-managing staff in community/service delivery.
• Experience collaborating with statutory, voluntary, and community organisations.
• Experience of customer assessment, action planning and supporting progression to goals.
• Experience using databases and monitoring systems to record outcomes and performance.
• Knowledge of SEQF and IPS principles in supported employment.
• Strong person-centred, outcome-focused approach.
• Welsh language skills or willingness to learn Welsh.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the Connect to Work programme within a locality.
• Line manage and support a team of Employment Specialists.
• Carry a caseload and provide intensive, person-centred employment support.
• Support participants with disabilities, health conditions and barriers to employment.
• Build partnerships with employers, statutory services and community organisations.
• Monitor performance, quality standards and programme outcomes.
• Support service development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure safeguarding, GDPR, health and safety and programme compliance.
