Job summary

Malmaison and Hotel du Vin in the North region seeks an Assistant Property Manager to support the operational and maintenance activities across its 18 properties from Manchester to Aberdeen.

This role involves vendor management, safety compliance, budget support, and promoting sustainable practices. You will liaise between internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain high property performance and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple properties or maintenance teams in hospitality.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with construction, Hard FM, and project management processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Proficiency with maintenance processes and vendor management.
• Experience with CAFM and compliance portals is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel nationally.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day property operations including maintenance support and safety protocols.
• Support the Property Manager in leading Maintenance Managers and teams.
• Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers ensuring timely service and contractual adherence.
• Assist with monitoring property spend, budgets, and cost-efficiency opportunities.
• Assist with property inspections, audits, and the implementation of safety procedures.
• Support ESG initiatives including data collection and reporting.
• Coordinate property and maintenance projects with contractors and internal teams, including pre-start meetings.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and inspection reports for compliance.
• Provide updates to stakeholders on findings and actions.
