Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Retail Security Officer for M&S locations across Newcastle and surrounding areas. You will be a visible, customer-focused presence, delivering professional security services and helping customers feel safe while protecting people and products.

The role requires a calm, confident approach, strong communication skills, and flexibility to cover multiple stores, including shifts in a fast-paced retail environment. SIA licence is desirable but not essential.

Retail Security Officer –M&S

Location: M&S Newcastle, M&S Gosforth, M&S Sunderland, M&S Cramlington, M&S Newcastle Silverlink Retail Park and Surrounding areas.

Salary - £15.15 per hour

Candidate must have own transport & be able to cover the advised locations

We're looking for confident, customer-focused individuals who can combine strong awareness with a warm and approachable attitude. You'll be a visible presence in store, helping customers feel supported while playing an important role in keeping the business safe and secure.

• Customer service is at the heart of the role. You'll create a welcoming store environment, greeting customers as they start shopping with us, while delivering professional support to both customers and colleagues.
• You'll help keep our stores safe and secure. From preventing loss and responding to incidents, to identifying risks and supporting safe ways of working, you'll play a key role in protecting the M&S environment.
