Job summary

Global Ardour Recycling in Bristol is seeking a Non-Ferrous Scale Operator to identify, sort and process non-ferrous metals safely and efficiently, in line with company procedures. You will work about 42.75 hours per week, mainly Monday to Friday with some weekend flexibility, receive training and development, a company pension and free parking.

Qualifications

• Experience in scrap metal recycling.
• Knowledge of non-ferrous metals.
• Comfortable working in a scrap yard environment.
• FLT experience or licence (desirable).
• Reliable with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Health and safety conscious.

Responsibilities

• Identify, sort and process non-ferrous metals in accordance with company procedures
• Customer service assisting with weighing materials and dealing with suppliers and public deliveries
• Work closely with others, ensuring good communication and following instructions
• Operate plant equipment and FLT (Forklift Truck) where trained
• Maintain good housekeeping practices ensuring area is always clean and tidy
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and safe systems of work
• Assist with general yard duties as required
• Often working in various weather conditions
• You will work closely with the yard team and management to maintain high operational standards.

We are now looking to recruit Recycling Operatives (Non-Ferrous) to join our team at our Bristol site.

The Role

As a Non-Ferrous Scale Operator, you will play a key role in the daily operations of the yard, ensuring non-ferrous materials are correctly identified, sorted, and processed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, sort and process non-ferrous metals in accordance with company procedures

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in scrap metal recycling
• Has knowledge of non-ferrous metal
• Comfortable working in different aspects of a scrap yard
• Has FLT experience or licence (desirable)
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Health & Safety conscious
