Job summary

Chadwick Nott is recruiting a Non-contentious Construction Associate in Bristol. You will work on major development and regeneration schemes, advising on construction contracts, development agreements and due diligence for significant real estate transactions.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years' PQE and strong drafting, communication and client advisory skills, with a collaborative, independent work style. Hybrid working with three days in the office is offered along with a competitive package.

Non-Contentious Construction Associate – Bristol

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within one of the most respected non contentious construction practices in the country. The team advises on major development and regeneration schemes, high rise and mixed use projects, ESG driven redevelopment, innovative procurement models, and the evolving building safety landscape. They also have a standout reputation for their work on data centres and digital infrastructure projects, acting for developers, operators and institutional investors on technically complex, high value schemes.

You will work closely with recognised experts in the field, providing strategic, commercially focused advice across the full lifecycle of construction and real estate development matters. The work will include negotiating construction contracts (including JCT amendments), professional appointments and warranties, advising on development agreements, and delivering construction due diligence on significant real estate transactions. You'll also support clients in managing construction risk, navigating legislative change and ensuring projects meet commercial, technical and sustainability objectives.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Around 1-2 years' PQE gained at a leading international, national or strong regional firm
• Solid non contentious construction experience within the development sector
• Strong drafting skills, excellent communication and the confidence to advise clients clearly and pragmatically
• The ability to manage a varied, high quality workload with independence and attention to detail
• A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working as part of a high performing, "one team" culture
