Construction Associate - Bristol - Non-Contentious - 2+ PQE

Location: Bristol Office (Hybrid & Flexible Working)

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week)

Salary: £55,000 to £80,000

A leading law firm is seeking an Associate to join its non-contentious Construction team in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a collaborative and inclusive environment, advising a diverse client base across a broad range of construction matters.

The Role

This role involves advising on non-contentious construction law, working both independently and as part of a wider team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on construction legislation and practice
  • Drafting and negotiating JCT and NEC contracts, including bespoke amendments
  • Preparing professional consultant appointments
  • Drafting collateral warranties, bonds, and guarantees
  • Applying contract law and understanding dispute resolution processes
  • Supporting clean and renewable energy projects (desirable)
  • Collaborating with colleagues across multiple offices
  • Delivering exceptional client service and managing multiple deadlines

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a construction lawyer with:
