Job summary

Paragon Social Care is seeking a Crisis Support Worker to provide crisis support for a young person with complex emotional and mental health needs in a long-term solo provision. You will work on 12-hour shifts, days and nights, ensuring the young person feels emotionally safe through consistent, relationship-based care.

The role focuses on building trust, promoting independence, and delivering structured routines while collaborating with CAMHS and social services when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience within mental health, youth work, social care, or psychology is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living and routines to promote stability and wellbeing.
• Provide therapeutic support and guidance using trauma-informed approaches.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, interventions and communications.
• Participate in supervision and mandatory training to maintain professional standards.
• Transport the young person to appointments, activities or education as required.
• Work collaboratively with external professionals (e.g. CAMHS, social workers, emergency services).
