Job summary

Paragon Social Care is seeking a Crisis Support Worker to assist a young person aged 11–17 with complex emotional and mental health needs. The role focuses on building trust, promoting independence and safety through consistent, relationship-based care.

You will work 12-hour shifts across days and nights in a long‑term solo provision, liaising with CAMHS, social workers and emergency services as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health, youth work, social care or psychology qualifications.
• Ability to remain calm and regulate emotions in challenging situations.
• Demonstrated empathy and resilience in supportive work with young people.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living, routines, and wellbeing for the young person.
• Provide therapeutic support using trauma-informed approaches and emotional regulation strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, interventions, and communications.
