Job summary

Paragon Social Care is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker to support a young person with complex emotional and mental health needs in a long-term solo provision. The role emphasizes building trust and consistency to help the young person feel emotionally safe and supported.

You will engage in daily routines, provide therapeutic support, and maintain documentation while collaborating with CAMHS, social workers, and other professionals as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people aged 11–17 with complex emotional and mental health needs.
• Trauma-informed approach and ability to build trusting relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living and routines to promote stability and wellbeing.
• Provide therapeutic support using trauma-informed techniques and emotional regulation strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, interventions, and communications.
