Our client based in Middlesbrough is looking to recruit an experienced team leader to work in a busy food manufacturing environment.

Ideally looking for:

• The ability to work on your own initiative
• Must have a positive and respectful attitude
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must have the ability to motivate others

General duties include:

1. Ensuring the Line is set up prior to the start of the shift to allow production to start on time. You must be available 30 minutes before your shift to receive instructions from the Shift Manager about your Team’s start-up. Make sure the Line is ready to run for the Team arriving.
2. Ensuring Team members are fully aware of their duties and tasks upon arrival. Organise your Team quickly and monitor their activities at all times, as they are your responsibility.
3. Liaising with the Shift Manager to understand the DMR and identify requirements to meet the plan. Obtain the daily production plan and relevant information to keep the Line operational.
4. Ensuring the Line is fully supplied at all times to avoid stoppages. Check materials in chillers and inform the Shift Manager if supplies are insufficient.
5. Monitoring the output of the Line to ensure production targets are met. Regularly check the line speed and output during and after runs.
6. Monitoring weight and traceability procedures, ensuring accurate recording and compliance with legal obligations.
7. Minimising waste, controlling, and recording it to reduce costs.
8. Reporting machine faults to Engineers immediately to prevent disruptions.
9. Communicating training needs to the Shift Manager and ensuring the team is fully trained for efficiency.
10. Adhering to Health and Safety regulations, taking responsibility to stop unsafe practices.
11. Maintaining hygiene standards, keeping the area clean at all times.
12. Organising and controlling team breaks, ensuring they are within allotted times and reporting any abuse.

Shifts are from 6pm to 6am on a four on, four off pattern.

Pay rate is £13.21-14.21 per hour.
