Job summary

Sainsbury's Wantage is seeking an experienced Nightshift Manager to lead a team overnight, prioritise deliveries, organise the warehouse and replenish shelves while maintaining safety and wellbeing.

You will drive outstanding customer service, coach colleagues, and manage performance, discipline and scheduling, with responsibility for the full shift when senior managers are absent. This role requires resilience, hands-on leadership and a focus on achieving KPIs and a smooth morning handover.

Qualifications

• Track record delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Operational leadership in the absence of more senior managers.
• Proven success in meeting or exceeding KPIs (sales, availability, customer satisfaction).
• Experience managing employee relations issues (performance and absence).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team overnight to deliver replenishment and prioritise deliveries.
• Run full store operation overnight, ensuring safety and wellbeing of colleagues.
• Ensure standards are excellent by morning for customers.
• Coach and manage performance, scheduling and pay accuracy.
