Job summary

Net Zero Careers Accelerator in Caythorpe, Lincolnshire, is seeking a reliable Plant Operative to join a busy recycling facility on the night shift. You will sort recyclable materials, operate machinery and help maintain a clean, organised site.

Training will be provided on the baler, Cross Wrap machinery and site vehicles, making this an opportunity for someone practical who is willing to learn. This is a permanent role paying £14.50 per hour and 47.5 hours per week with overtime.

Qualifications

• Practical, hands-on approach to work and safety first.
• Willingness to learn how to operate machinery and site vehicles.
• Reliability and ability to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Sort recyclable materials to support effective material recovery.
• Operate baler and Cross Wrap machinery following training.
• Undertake training to operate site vehicles and plant machinery.
• Carry out routine machine checks and care.
• Maintain site hygiene and keep the yard clean and organised.
• Follow risk assessments, work procedures and safe systems of work.
• Maintain good housekeeping and wash down machinery at the end of each shift.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and support other site duties as required.
