Job summary

Net Zero Careers Accelerator is assisting a leading resource recovery organisation to recruit a Yard Operative for its recycling site. This is a practical, hands-on role focused on safety and efficiency, handling loads and sorting materials to keep operations running smoothly.

The role includes training to operate site plant vehicles, such as a Loading Shovel, and offers a permanent contract with 40 hours per week. Overtime is available for additional hours worked.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload containers and curtain-sided vehicles.
• Sort recyclable materials to support effective material recovery.
• Undertake training to operate site plant vehicles, including Loading Shovel.
• Carry out routine site hygiene duties as directed.
• Follow risk assessments, work procedures and safe systems of work.
• Maintain good housekeeping across the yard.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Support other site duties as required.
