Job summary

Panda is seeking a Plant Operative at our Caythorpe site to help run the recycling yard safely and efficiently. You will load and unload vehicles, sort recyclables, and work with colleagues to keep materials moving.

This role is hands-on with training provided on the Baler and Cross Wrap machines; overtime is available for extra hours. A practical approach and strong safety focus are essential to keep the site tidy and compliant with risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of plant machinery.
• Willing to undertake training for vehicles and machinery.
• Strong safety focus and tidy work area.
• Good communication with site team.

Responsibilities

• Sort recyclable materials to support effective material recovery.
• Operate the Baler and Cross Wrap machines (training will be provided).
• Be willing and able to receive training for operating plant vehicles.
• Carry out site hygiene as directed to ensure a clean and tidy workspace.
• Follow risk assessments, work procedures and safe systems of work.
• Maintain good housekeeping across the yard and wash down machinery at the end of each shift.
• Communicate with colleagues and support other site duties as required.
