Job summary

Lineage Logistics is hiring a HGV Class 1 Driver for our Heywood depot. Night shifts on Monday–Friday with start times around 15:00–19:00. Pay is £15.61 per hour up to 39 hours per week plus £55.00 weekly shift allowance; overtime over 39 hours is paid at time and a half.

You will perform vehicle checks, trunking, and multi-drop deliveries, ensuring compliance with drivers’ hours rules. We seek candidates with a valid C+E licence, DigiTacho, CPC, and prior Class 1 experience.

Qualifications

• C+E driving licence, DigiTacho and CPC valid and in date.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience required.
• Able to lift up to 18kg.
• Clear communication in English with team members.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy; complete daily checks and report defects.
• Verify correct goods loaded and secured before movement.
• Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely, law-compliant manner.
• Double-check deliveries with customers and provide a polite, helpful experience.
• Obtain signatures and paperwork before returning to the depot.
