Job summary

Alexander Steele Recruitment is seeking a Nightshift Despatch Supervisor for a fast-paced FMCG operation in the UK. You will oversee the night despatch, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and handover quality, while coordinating with production and transport to maintain service levels.

The role requires proven team leadership, robust organisational and problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of health & safety and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a despatch, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Experience leading or supervising teams in a fast-paced operation.
• Strong organisational, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of health & safety, food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the nightshift despatch operation to meet customer service and delivery targets.
• Ensure orders are accurately picked, packed, checked and prepared for dispatch.
• Manage shift priorities and resolve day-to-day operational issues to maintain service levels.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, quality, hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Liaise closely with production and transport teams to ensure efficient workflow and product availability.
• Monitor team performance, support training activities and promote a positive team culture.
• Complete shift handovers and maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
