Job summary

Alexander Steele Recruitment is managing the recruitment of a Production Manager for a large, fast-paced FMCG manufacturer based in West Yorkshire. This key leadership role oversees the full night-time manufacturing operation (6pm–6am), leading a team of 25–30 and acting as the operations on-shift contact for the wider site.

You will own safety, quality, output targets and drive continuous improvement with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading production teams in fast-paced FMCG/manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing 20+ people on night shift or similar.
• Proven ability to drive health & safety, quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own the night-time production operation (6pm–6am).
• Lead and develop a 25–30 strong production team.
• Act as the on-shift operational decision-maker.
• Monitor production metrics: output, waste, downtime and quality.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Warehouse and other functions.
• Drive continuous improvement and reduce waste.
• Ensure clear handovers and effective shift communication.
