Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd is recruiting a Nights Transport Administrator for our Crewe operation. This fast-paced night shift role supports the transport team by coordinating daily and nightly schedules, dispatching drivers, and maintaining accurate records.

The position is a 3-month fixed-term contract with a pay rate of £14.00 per hour on a 4 on / 4 off night pattern. Candidates should have transport administration experience and be proficient with Microsoft Office and transport systems.

Nights Transport Administrator

The Role:

We're currently recruiting for a Nights Transport Admin to join a busy and growing operation in Crewe. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Transport Administrator looking to join a fast-paced night shift operation.

Working as part of the night shift team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of transport operations, supporting the wider team with administration and coordinating day-to-day transport requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily and nightly transport schedules, ensuring deliveries and collections run efficiently
• Dispatch and brief drivers with routes, paperwork and relevant information
• Maintain accurate transport records and update internal systems
• Liaise with drivers, warehouse teams and other departments to resolve issues and delays
• Monitor deliveries and collections, reporting any problems or failed deliveries
• Record vehicle defects and assist with compliance, maintenance and repairs
• Complete accurate shift handovers and communicate key updates to the next shift

About You:

• Previous experience in a transport administration role is essential, with a good understanding of transport operations and driver coordination
• Able to keep accurate records and ensure all transport documentation is completed correctly
• Confident dealing with delays, driver queries, vehicle issues and unexpected changes while maintaining a calm and professional approach
• Comfortable using transport systems, Microsoft Office and other computer-based systems to maintain accurate records and update transport information
• Able to work effectively as part of a busy night transport team and ensure a clear handover to the next shift
