Job summary

Avery Healthcare’s Darwin Court Care Home in Lichfield is seeking a warm, dedicated Care Assistant - Nights to provide high-quality personal care and support the night care team. No prior experience is required as a thorough induction and training programme is offered, and the DBS disclosure check cost is funded by Avery Healthcare.

You’ll work as part of a close-knit team dedicated to respectful, compassionate care.

• You should communicate clearly, be respectful to residents and team members, and take initiative when needed.
• Strong work ethic and reliability are essential for night shifts in a busy home.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care with dignity and independence for residents.
• Support the care team to maintain continuity of services during night hours.
• Recognise clinical risk areas (weight loss, pressure sores, falls, infections) and escalate appropriately.
• Maintain courteous conduct toward residents and visitors and follow safe working practices.
