Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant – Nights at Aldridge Care Home in Aldridge. You will deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to a supportive care team.

No prior experience is required as we provide a thorough induction and training. You will be caring with residents, supporting dignity and independence, and following safe systems of work. This role also involves a DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and staff.
• Efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions.
• Adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene to promote independence, dignity and respect.
• Identify clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls, infections and raise risks promptly.
• Act courteously toward residents and visitors, respecting the dignity of each resident.
• Follow safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
