Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for Nights at Acer Court Care Home in Nuthall. You will work with the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring environment for residents, visitors and staff.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ 3 in care, 2 years in a similar setting, and strong communication skills. DBS disclosure is required and eligibility to work in the UK must be proven.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years experience working in similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the wellbeing of each resident and update care plans as needed.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning with monthly evaluations.
• Assist residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support development where required.
• Act as a key point of contact for residents, relatives, visitors and health/social care professionals.
