Job summary

Stonepillow is recruiting for a Night Support Worker to join our Young People Services in Chichester. The role involves working 8pm–8am on a 4-on/4-off rota, supporting 16+ Looked After Young People and Care Leavers in a trauma-informed setting.

The successful candidate will be inspired to safeguard and advocate for young people, with a focus on building a positive future and ensuring a safe, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates empathy and patience when engaging with young people.
• Ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
• Strong active listening and communication to build trust with young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in a person-centred way.
• Manage your own caseload and ensure required processes are followed.
• Produce individual support and risk assessments with input from the young person.
• Ensure the voice of the young person is heard in case management and with partners.
• Support team leader with case file audits and safeguarding actions.
• Facilitate quarterly case reviews with manager, young person and professionals.
• Coordinate referrals and Life Skills Programme participation.
• Model unconditional positive regard and a proactive approach to support.
• Carry out welfare checks.
