Job summary

apetito is recruiting for a night-shift warehouse picker in our freezer warehouse, operating at -23 degrees. Training on a voice-picking system will be provided, and PPE is supplied. The role focuses on accurate picking, loading, and stock control to meet tight delivery deadlines.

Salary is £33,619.08 per annum (inc £2.65 shift allowance per hour) with bonus and benefits. Weekend overtime may be required. We offer generous holidays, pension, life assurance, and free meals on site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
• Demonstrates commitment and stability.
• Flexible, good attendance and timekeeping.
• Multi-skilled or willing to learn new skills.
• Open and honest team player.
• A flexible, motivated and committed individual with a “can do” approach.
• Calm under pressure, with the ability to work within tight deadlines.
• Must be able to manage with the demands of a high speed and high frequency factory ‘picking’ environment.

Responsibilities

• Replenishment of Empty pick locations.
• Loading Vehicles for delivery.
• Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount in all areas.
• Reporting of issues such as Health and Safety concerns, stock quality problems, and mechanical breakdowns.
• Ensuring frozen product is placed under minimal exposure to ambient temperatures.
• Picking and assembling orders in our coldstore which is -22/25 degrees with a high degree of quality and accuracy.
• In loading stock for bulk storage.
