Job summary

The Best Connection in Crawley is seeking a Night Warehouse Operative to join their busy logistics team. This role covers night shifts Sunday to Friday, with hours 23:30–08:00 and a 30-minute unpaid break.

Pay starts at £12.71 per hour, increasing to £13.88 after 12 successful weeks, with opportunities to grow within a large warehousing operation. You will unload, scan, sort and move parcels, maintain safety standards, and work closely with colleagues to meet daily targets in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or logistics experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Scan deliveries to enter items into the warehouse system.
• Move items to appropriate warehouse sections.
• Sort and organise parcels for processing.
• Load deliveries for transport to customers or next hub.
• Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment to meet targets.
• Maintain a clean, organised workspace and follow HSE procedures.
• Collaborate with team to achieve daily targets.

Hours for Night Warehouse Operative: Sunday to Friday based, with working hours generally 23:30 to 08:00, including a 30-minute unpaid break

Key Responsibilities of the Night Warehouse Operative:

• Unloading incoming deliveries safely and efficiently
• Scanning deliveries accurately to ensure all items are entered into the warehouse system
• Moving items to the appropriate sections within the warehouse
• Sorting and organising parcels and deliveries ready for further processing
• Loading deliveries ready to be transported to the next hub or delivered to customers
• Working efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Ensuring items are processed accurately and moved to the correct areas
• Working closely with other team members to meet daily targets
• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
• Complying with Health and Safety procedures at all times

Requirements of the Night Warehouse Operative:

• Physically fit and comfortable with regular lifting and manual handling throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail to ensure all items are scanned and processed correctly
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
