Job summary

Gap Personnel is recruiting Night Warehouse Operatives for a Basildon-based freight and logistics client. Roles run 00:00–09:00 with 8 paid hours per shift; 1 hour unpaid break. Shifts range 1–5 nights per week, depending on workload.

You will unload vehicles, hand ball heavy items, use a hand-held scanner and operate a pump truck. A good grasp of health and safety, and PPE (safety shoes and hi-vis) is required.

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
• Confident using a hand-held scanner.
• Able to unload vehicles and hand ball heavy items.
• Good knowledge of health and safety.

Night Warehouse Operative – Basildon

Our client, a well-established freight and logistics company based in Basildon, is looking for reliable Night Warehouse Operatives to join their team.

Hours: 00:00 – 09:00

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Break: 1 hour unpaid

Paid: 8 hours per shift

Shifts: 1–5 nights per week, depending on workload

Location: Basildon

Duties:-

• Unloading vehicles


• Hand balling heavy items


• Using a hand-held scanner


• Operating a pump truck


• Following health & safety procedures


• Working efficiently as part of a busy warehouse team

Skills/Experience required:-

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred


• Must be confident using a hand-held scanner


• Must be comfortable unloading vehicles and hand balling heavy items


• Good knowledge of health & safety


• Safety shoes and hi-vis are required
