Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting a Night Warehouse Assistant for a busy client in Manor Royal, Crawley. The role operates Sunday to Friday, typically 23:30–08:00 with a 30-minute unpaid break. Pay starts at £13.18 per hour, rising to £13.88 after 12 weeks, with opportunities to develop within warehousing and logistics.

Key duties include unloading, scanning, moving and sorting parcels, and ensuring health and safety at all times. Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Scan deliveries and ensure items are entered into the warehouse system.
• Move items to correct sections within the warehouse.
• Sort and organise parcels for further processing.
• Load deliveries for transport to next hub or customers.
• Work quickly in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ensure items are processed accurately and moved to correct areas.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet daily targets.
• Maintain a clean, organised working area and follow safety procedures.

Hours for Night Warehouse Assistant : Sunday to Friday based, with working hours generally 23:30 to 08:00, including a 30-minute unpaid break

Pay: £13.18 an hour, increasing to £13.88 an hour after 12 successful weeks

Key Responsibilities of the Night Warehouse Assistant:

• Unloading incoming deliveries safely and efficiently
• Scanning deliveries accurately to ensure all items are entered into the warehouse system
• Moving items to the appropriate sections within the warehouse
• Sorting and organising parcels and deliveries ready for further processing
• Loading deliveries ready to be transported to the next hub or delivered to customers
• Working efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Ensuring items are processed accurately and moved to the correct areas
• Working closely with other team members to meet daily targets
• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
• Complying with Health and Safety procedures at all times

Requirements of the Night Warehouse Assistant:

• Physically fit and comfortable with regular lifting and manual handling throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail to ensure all items are scanned and processed correctly
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Able to follow instructions and work efficiently to meet deadlines
• Good understanding of workplace Health and Safety practices
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience is desirable but not essential
