Qualifications

• Extensive transport knowledge in a busy environment.
• Experience with transport policy and master planning.
• Knowledge of Road Runner Pro, Tachomaster and Falcon advantageous.
• Attention to detail and high numeracy.
• Planning and organising skills and strong IT ability.
• Excellent communication to deliver accurate information.

Responsibilities

• Maximise backloads and cost efficiency with Transport Manager and Planning teams.
• Plan and utilise drivers and sub-contract haulage for deliveries across sites.
• Act as escalation point for queries by phone, fax and e-mail.
• Build and maintain good relationships with team members, vendors and hauliers.
• Liaise with traffic and administration teams to sustain performance.
• Report problems and handle issues as they arise.
• Daily communication with operations, vendors and customers about route changes.
• Identify cost savings through tactical route changes.
