Job summary

Menzies Distribution Solutions is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to lead and optimise nightly transport operations from Larkhall. You will orchestrate routes, maximise vehicle capacity, and ensure on-time, in-full delivery while complying with transport legislation and safety standards.

You will manage drivers, coordinate with planners, and monitor performance to drive cost efficiency and high service levels. The role is based on a night shift with 40 hours per week and monthly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a team in a busy transport environment.
• Solid understanding of driver hours, tachographs and WTD rules.
• Strong negotiating and problem-solving abilities.
• Good IT literacy with transport systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Daily control and execution of the transport plan and adapting as necessary.
• Briefing and de-briefing drivers to ensure safe deliveries.
• Handling driver and customer queries in a professional manner.
• Monitoring vehicle earnings and efficiencies, optimizing resource use.
• Communicating effectively with drivers, customers and operations.
• Ensuring site compliance and adherence to Health & Safety procedures.
• Championing transport systems and screen compliance.
• Managing site Health and Safety procedures.
