Job summary

Menzies Distribution Solutions Ltd in East Kilbride is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor for night shifts. You will oversee the transport plan, ensure compliance with legislation, and maintain high customer service standards.

The role is based in East Kilbride with a rotating 4-on/2-off nights pattern, starting at 19:00, with monthly pay. Key duties include briefing drivers, handling queries professionally, and monitoring efficiency while ensuring health and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Right to Work in the UK.
• Experience in a busy transport office.
• Knowledge of Drivers Hours, Tachograph and WTD legislation.
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement.
• Strong negotiating skills.
• IT literate with basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety.
• Commercial understanding.
• Knowledge of transport systems.
• Weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Daily control and execution of the transport plan and adapting as necessary.
• Briefing and de-briefing drivers to ensure deliveries are completed safely.
• Addressing driver and customer queries professionally.
• Monitor vehicle earnings and efficiencies and understand their significance.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers and operations.
• Ensure site compliance is adhered to.
• Champion transport systems and maintain screen compliance.
• Manage site Health and Safety procedures.
