Job summary

Menzies Distribution Solutions is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor for our Blunham site. You will manage day 1 plan execution, ensure deliveries are met on time and within cost constraints, and comply with transport legislation and safety requirements.

You will optimise driver utilisation and collaborate with planners, drivers, and customers to maintain service levels. The role involves shift patterns, with nights and 42 hours per week on a 4-on/4-off cycle, and requires strong

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a busy Transport office.
• Knowledge of Drivers Hours, Tachograph and WTD legislation.
• Commercial understanding and strong negotiating skills.
• Good standard of education and IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with planners to meet delivery windows using available site resources.
• Track and trace deliveries to ensure on-time arrival.
• Coordinate with customer service or out-of-hours processes for delays.
• Develop back haul lanes and maximise fleet utilisation.
• Source local agency drivers and subcontractors as required.
• Ensure loads meet safety standards and are compliant with WTD.
