Job summary

XPO is seeking a Night Transport Supervisor to oversee the on-site transport operations at our Swindon site on a Monday to Friday schedule. The role includes coordinating vehicle usage, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving efficient night operations.

You will liaise with management and drivers, manage incidents, and ensure documentation is accurate while supporting continuous process improvements across the night shift.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordinating transport operations on-site/off-site.
• Strong written and spoken communication with stakeholders.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Outlook for daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site transport operations to meet customer and company expectations.
• Liaise with line management to optimize vehicle use and minimize costs.
• Ensure drivers comply with working time directive regulations and investigate incidents.
• Plan night-time transport operations and ensure routes and fill are optimal.
• Dispatch and debrief drivers according to policy and file all paperwork.
• Maintain depot compliance and sign off infringements promptly.
• Manage breakdowns and defects and communicate handovers clearly.
