XPO Logistics seeks a Nights Manager for our Swindon site, responsible for the safe and efficient running of the transport function and ensuring service standards are met. You will lead a team, coach staff, and manage customer relationships across stakeholders.

• Computer literate; capable of handling emails, dispatching drivers and handovers.
• Strong team-building and leadership skills.
• Experience with C+E drivers would be beneficial.

Here at XPO, we’re looking for a full-time, permanent Nights Manager to join us based at our Swindon site. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and effective running of our transport function.

Pay, Benefits And More

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £45,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

• Take full operational accountability and responsibility for your site, effectively managing your time to ensure a safe and efficient service
• As a true people manager, you will focus on ensuring that your colleagues receive the right level of support, coaching and development
• Manage the relationship between XPO and our customers, constantly communicating across various stakeholders
• Ensure that all teams are aligned, operating to XPO standard policies and procedures
• Assist with executing the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site and keep the customer updated
• Provide leadership and guidance for your team to enable them to meet objectives, encouraging open communication

What You Need To Succeed At XPO

• It’s important you have exposure of working in a fast-paced environment – no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet
• Previous experience supervising and developing a team within a complex transport environment
• Proven experience within transport and a good understanding of compliance and driver hours
• Computer literate as will be answering email, dispatching drivers, and compiling handovers.
• Team building experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced, time critical environment.
• Some transport experience dealing with C+E drivers would be beneficial.
