Job summary

Gist Limited is seeking a Transport Coordinator for the Lenziemill, Cumbernauld night shift. You’ll work 10-hour nights (8pm–6am) on a rotating pattern, acting as the drivers’ main contact and ensuring smooth operations from dispatch to delivery.

Join a busy transport operation within a leading UK food logistics network. You’ll coordinate briefs, monitor routes, handle queries, and support admin tasks while upholding compliance and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Transport administration or coordination experience.
• Natural problem solver and good communicator.
• Able to use transport systems and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for drivers, managing briefs, debriefs, and resolving queries effectively.
• Ensure legal O-Licence compliance and deliver operational excellence across cost, service, and peak planning.
• Provide exceptional customer service, resolving and escalating live operational issues where required.
• Monitor route performance, ensuring timely delivery, processing supplier queries and escalating issues to the Team Manager when appropriate.
• Manage daily administrative tasks efficiently, including payroll, holidays, Kronos exceptions, and scheduling.
• Support admin and export, ensuring export compliance.
• Support the transport team with any additional tasks as and when required.
