Job summary

Gist Limited is seeking a Transport Coordinator for the Lenziemill, Cumbernauld night shift. You’ll work 10-hour nights (8pm–6am) on a rotating pattern, acting as the drivers’ main contact and ensuring smooth operations from dispatch to delivery.

Join a busy transport operation within a leading UK food logistics network. You’ll coordinate briefs, monitor routes, handle queries, and support admin tasks while upholding compliance and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Transport administration or coordination experience.
• Natural problem solver and good communicator.
• Able to use transport systems and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for drivers, managing briefs, debriefs, and resolving queries effectively.
• Ensure legal O-Licence compliance and deliver operational excellence across cost, service, and peak planning.
• Provide exceptional customer service, resolving and escalating live operational issues where required.
• Monitor route performance, ensuring timely delivery, processing supplier queries and escalating issues to the Team Manager when appropriate.
• Manage daily administrative tasks efficiently, including payroll, holidays, Kronos exceptions, and scheduling.
• Support admin and export, ensuring export compliance.
• Support the transport team with any additional tasks as and when required.

The Opportunity

Our Transport Team in Lenziemill, Cumbernauld have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Coordinator to join our night shift team where you will play a critical role at the centre of the operation.

This role will see you working a 10-hour night shift from 8pm-6am, with a rotational shift:

• Week One: Monday to Thursday
• Week Two: Monday to Tuesday and Friday to Saturday
• Week Three: Sunday and Thursday to Saturday
• Week Four: Sunday and Wednesday to Friday.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting into the Transport Shift Manager you will:

What We're Looking For

To be successful in your application you will have proven transport administration or coordination experience, ideally gained within a busy transport or logistics operation. You will be a natural problem solver and communicator capable of building strong working relationships with drivers, sub-contractors and wider operations and comfortable using transport systems and MS office packages such as word and excel.

Salary: Up to £31,366.08 + night shift allowance £4,500.00
