Job summary

Derby-based Allscreens Nationwide Ltd seeks experienced Support Workers for night shifts in a supported living unit. You will support young people aged 16+ to learn daily life skills so they can live independently at 18, following personalised plans and helping with meals, personal care and activities.

We offer local work, immediate starts and flexible hours. DBS checks and mandatory training can be arranged at a subsidised fee, certificates kept by you; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• 3 months experience in a Care environment
• DBS dated within the last 12 months or ability to obtain one
• All relevant mandatory training up-to-date and certificates to show or facility to pay for them
• A passion to make a difference

Responsibilities

• Support young people aged 16+ to learn life skills to live independently at 18, following plans and helping with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning and personal care.
• Assist service users with leaving the house to participate in activities and to develop independence.

Flexible night work available for experienced Support Workers within Derby.

We have hours available for experienced support workers to join our agency and work within a supported living unit in Derby.

Within this role you will be supporting young people from the age of 16 and help them learn the necessary life skills to be able to live independently at 18. The service users may have had traumatic experiences previously therefore, this role requires a calm and patient person to help them overcome their past and have a brighter future.

You will be following plans which help the service users with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning, personal care and leaving the house to do activities.

Don’t have a valid DBS and/or training?? Do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!

For this role, you must have;

• A minimum of 3 months experience in a Care environment
• A DBS dated within the last 12 months or the facility to pay for one
• All relevant mandatory training up-to-date and ideally certificates to show for this or the facility to pay for these.
• A passion to make a difference
