Job summary

Pembrokeshire Direct Payments is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to support a client at night in Pembrokeshire. You will assist with hoisting into bed, positioning, and turning, with potential seizures and incontinence care. Responsibilities

• Develop a reliable and trusting relationship with the person.
• Provide companionship in and outside of their home.
• Support the person to access activities of importance.
• Communicate with the person’s family and wider support network.
• Provide companionship in the employer’s home, including engaging in conversation with the employer and providing them with social interaction.
• Ensure the employer’s safety at all times during your working hours.
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks that are requested by the employer during your working hours.
• Be mindful of safeguarding issues, and feedback any concerns to the relevant authority.
• Be responsible for contacting the GP, Social Worker or Local Authority should the employer need medical assistance.
