Job summary

Pembrokeshire Direct Payments is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a young person’s care needs under the Direct Payments scheme. The role focuses on developing a reliable, trusting relationship and helping the client build community and education engagement, while supporting independence in daily living.

You will liaise with the employer, their family, and the local support network, ensuring safeguarding and safety during working hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop a reliable and trusting relationship with the person.
• Support the person to engage with education and community networks.
• Encourage community participation and social activities.
• Communicate with the employer's family and wider support network.
• Support the employer to develop independent living skills.
• Ensure safety of the employer during working hours.
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested by the employer.
