Shaw healthcare is recruiting a Residential Night Team Leader for Figbury Lodge in Poole to support a dedicated team in delivering person-centred care to older residents, including those with dementia.

The role covers 20:00–08:00 shifts, with one 36-hour and one 48-hour contract available, remunerated at £15.19 per hour. Shaw Healthcare offers extensive development, employee ownership benefits and a broad range of staff rewards.

Responsibilities

Shaw healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring Residential Team Leader who is ready to make a positive impact at Figbury Lodge in Poole. The purpose-built service provides residential and nursing care for older people with physical frailty, and for older people living with dementia.

Job Responsibilities

As a Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of person-centred care and supporting your team to uphold those standards in everything they do. This will include, but not limited to:

• Lead by example, providing guidance and support on shift to promote best practice
• Administer and record medication safely in line with Shaw policies and procedures
• Report changes in residents needs or well-being promptly to the Line Manager
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and documentation

Qualifications And Experience

• Experience working with older people in residential care
• You will have completed or working towards your NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social care (or equivalent)
• You will need to be flexible, patient, caring, organised and great with people
• Ability to lead a team and use own initiative
