Job summary

Shaw healthcare is seeking a passionate Residential Team Leader for Figbury Lodge in Poole. The service provides residential and nursing care for older people with physical frailty, and for older people living with dementia.

You will lead a dedicated care team, ensuring high standards of person-centred care, administer medications safely, and communicate with residents, families and colleagues. The role offers a competitive hourly rate (£15.19) for a 42-hour week.

Qualifications

• Experience working with older people in residential care.
• Current or working towards NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Able to lead a team and use own initiative; flexible, patient, caring and well organised.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on shift to promote best practice.
• Administer and record medication safely in line with policy.
• Report changes in residents' needs to the Line Manager promptly.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and documentation.

Shaw healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring Residential Team Leader who is ready to make a positive impact at Figbury Lodge in Poole. The purpose-built service provides residential and nursing care for older people with physical frailty, and for older people living with dementia.

Responsibilities

As a Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of person-centred care and supporting your team to uphold those standards in everything they do. This will include, but not limited to:

• Lead by example, providing guidance and support on shift to promote best practice


• Administer and record medication safely in line with Shaw policies and procedures


• Report changes in residents needs or well-being promptly to the Line Manager


• Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and documentation

Qualifications And Experience

• Experience working with older people in residential care


• You will have completed or working towards your NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social care (or equivalent)


• You will need to be flexible, patient, caring, organised and great with people


• Ability to lead a team and use own initiative
